The Enrichment Fund provides financial support to care-experienced young people in Cumberland, aged 16 and above. The fund can be used for activities related to health and wellbeing, education and training, employment support, and engagement in arts and culture. Whether covering costs for gym memberships, professional courses, work-related expenses, or creative pursuits.
Currently the Enrichment Fund can only be access by young people who meet the following criteria:
Applications are submitted to Cumbria Youth Alliance, who bring them to a group of care experienced young who make the decisions on if the referral can be awarded to the applicant. These young people could ask further questions, express concerns or possible suggest an alternate funding such as Cumberland Council, debt services, Vicar’s Relief.
Currently the panel meets every two weeks.

The application form can be filled out by the young person themself, or by a professional who is supporting the young person e.g. a youth worker or PA.
After completing the application form it needs to be emailed to: enrichmentfund@cya.org.uk
