Youth Ambition Lead
Gary started working for Cumbria Youth Alliance in July 2017, working as part of the team on the First Steps to Employment and the Choices projects.
Gary is currently the project lead for the Youth Ambition strand at Cumbria Youth Alliance. Working to help develop and deliver programmes for young people, supporting them into and to sustain long term employment, in line with their personal career aspirations.
In 2021 CYA were awarded a development grant by the Youth Futures Foundation to develop and deliver a county wide employment focused programme with a real focus on robust evidence and evaluation to truly assess what works. Gary moved over to co-manage this project, which continues too positively impact the lives of young people across the county.
Prior to starting with CYA, Gary was working on the DWP work programme at the Trades Hall Centre, Workington.
