Tracey joined CYA as a Trustee in September 2022, as she believed that this role could provide her with an opportunity to learn new things and continue to grow professionally.  It’s also a rewarding way to use her skills to make a difference for something she cares about

Tracey has been the Group Human Resources Manager at Thomas Armstrong (Holdings) Limited for the past 6 years.  Previous roles include 13 years with Cumbria Learning and Skills Council, 6 years in Local Government and 3½ years working in the NHS – all roles have involved HR Operations and Employee Services with the focus on enhancing the employee experience, embracing change, and developing others,

A highly qualified professional with 30 years’ experience as a Senior HR Leader, Tracey has considerable knowledge of implementing best HR practice.  She possesses a comprehensive understanding of employment law, combined with expertise in areas such as performance management, employee relations, recruitment and fostering cultural transformation.  She is confident working both operationally and strategically to add value to a business, supporting it in achieving its values and objectives.

Born and raised in Cumbria, Tracey is deeply committed to her local community.  She advocates for equal access to opportunities for everyone, reflecting her belief to fairness and inclusivity. Tracey is a proud mother to a daughter and resides in the village of Seaton.
